The Bronze age
(2,000 TO 900 BC)
In the period between 1,300 and 900 BC there were great migrations of people known as the Panonian-Balkan migrations. Gradually, from the Indo-European nationality groups, there began to develop Illyrian and other tribes and peoples. The bearers of Bronze Age culture on our coast inhabited the lowland or hill-fort settlements.
The basic forms of economy were agriculture, farming and nomadic cattle-rearing. The weapons they used were swords and spears. Other usable objects were also made of bronze (necklaces, brooches (fibulae), decorative pins, pendants, plates, etc.).
